Music licensing platform Soundstripe teamed up with Abu Dhabi-based indie music company PopArabia to create a series of songwriting camps for artists and songwriters based in the MENA region. The first camp took place in October in Abu Dhabi, where more camps will be held over the next two years. The companies are also looking to expand with additional camps elsewhere in the region.

According to a press release, the camp that took place in October resulted in 23 songs that will become part of Soundstripe’s catalog.
